Macrobotanical analysis focuses on the recovery and identification
of botanical remains from archaeological sites. I will analyze botanical
remains found in the light and heavy fractions of flotation samples
taken from archaeological sites. I will identify, quantify and interpret
the recovered remains in the context of the sites under study. Flotation
of samples should already have been completed prior to sending the light
and heavy fractions to the analysts. I received a Ph.D. from the Department
of Anthropology at the University of Pittsburgh. My dissertation focused
on the analysis of macrobotanical remains from northern South America.
I have also worked extensively on materials from sites in North America.
Materials from both of these areas can be sent for analysis.
