8/5/00 S. Melancon: Why should we expect a person to claim responsibility for his own actions when today's courts mandate sharing of responsibility in all manner of cases? We are being forced by the court to put up 1/2 of a fence & in the court's own words, to keep the neighbor's cattle from coming onto our property & causing damage to our property. In addition, we have to repair a fence that his cattle will be damaging. Isn't this the cattle owner's responsibility? This dangerous trend will not end until people finally get enough and take action. Let your opinion count by contacting your legislators NOW!
7/1/00 GD e-mails: "I agree that the law should be changed."
6/27/00 PK e-mails: "Add my name to the list of citizens that believe the "Fence Law" to be obsolete and no longer in the best interest of the majority of property owners."
5/18/00 LF e-mails: "I'm for not having to pay for a fence that you don't need! If the neighbor needs it, it should be his responsibility to pay for it."
