Combinations of units are easily made using the same formula conventions contained in Excel. Pressure, temperature, time, velocity, force, work, energy, viscosity, electrical / magnetic / luminescence, density, area, volume, length, mass, and quantity unit types are provided.
Multipliers, items, special paper, angles, rotation and fractional units can also be combined to enable direct conversions with ease. Mathematical checking through proper use of units is provided. As an Example of this converter's capabilities, consider the power required to stop a ship at sea; if it weighs 12,000 tons, travels at 15 knots and stops in 30 minutes:
Enter "=(1/2*12000*15^2)/30" for the input quantity (1/2 x mass x velocity squared), enter "(ton*knot^2)/min" for the input units and "hp" for the output units (horsepower). Press "convert" and it performs the calculations to yield the correct answer (242 hp or 180 kw).
