Q & A:
Why do I need a food
license?
Every vendor or organization selling food must be licensed through the Hopewell
Township Health Department. If you work out of a commercial kitchen and currently
have a license please complete the form and indicate:
in the top left hand corner.
What if I am selling packaged goods?
Food licenses are not required for pre-packaged food i.e. bagged chips, soda
in cans. Any food item which will be individually handled needs a license.
What happens after I fill out the forms? You will receive a confirmation
letter and booth location.
Can I cook under a tent?
No, local fire laws do not permit it.
Will there be electricity?
No, unless you make arrangement with a local resident or business.
Can I bring a generator?
Yes, the quieter the better!
Do I need a fire extinguisher?
Yes, if you are cooking with a flame an ABC Chemical Extinguisher is required.
What time do I need to be there?
Set up begins at 6:30 a.m. and needs to be completed by 8:30 a.m. with all
vehicles off the street.
What can I sell?
There are lots of food options available. Call Emily (737.0037) for a list
of good eats already lined up.
