Nothing huge, but we’re having a little bit of a social at Nickel’s sports lounge in Salt Lake City. Nickel’s is in the basement of Crusty’s Restaurant. Don’t fear the name, you can get decent food there. You’ll be able to find rapier folk there from 7 pm to midnight. The restaurant closes early in the evening, so just come on in and find your way downstairs. (And no, you don’t have to go through the whole Planet Utah "private club" rigmarole to get a beverage there.)

• If you can navigate your way around Salt Lake:
  1. Find your way to the intersection of 2100 South and 1300 East. From this intersection, go east on 2100 South.
  2. Take the first left off of 2100 South. (Note that this turn will come up on you very fast.) Crusty’s Restaurant will soon be on your right.
• From the site, and other hotels near the site:
  1. Locate the corner of 600 South and West Temple (the northeast corner of the block where the site is). From this intersection, proceed east to 1300 East (14 blocks).
  2. At 1300 East, turn right (south) onto 1300 East. Proceed south 15 blocks to 2100 South.
  3. Turn left (east) on 2100 South.
  4. Take the first left off of 2100 South. (Note that this turn will come up on you very fast.) Crusty’s Restaurant will soon be on your right.
• From I-80, coming into Salt Lake from the east:
  1. Take the 1300 East exit. (Approximately mile 122.)
  2. Turn right (north) onto 1300 East. Proceed on 1300 East to 2100 South. (There will be a Sizzler restaurant on the right at this intersection.)
  3. Turn right (east) onto 2100 South.
  4. Take the first left off of 2100 South. (Note that this turn will come up on you very fast.) Crusty’s Restaurant will soon be on your right.

For those who will still be in town Sunday evening, the ‘crat staff would like to unwind at the Rodizio Grill in the upper level of Trolley Square (The block bounded by 500 South, 600 South, 600 East, and 700 East). If you ain’t done rodizio, you don’t know what carnivore heaven is. We’ll get there about 5:30 p.m. Be in touch, so we can get enough tables.
