Because zeal for Your house has consumed me, And the reproaches of those who reproach You have fallen on me.

For seven things the earth is perturbed, Yes, for eight it cannot bear up:
1. Coffee in the sanctuary
2. Woman speaking out in the sanctuary.
3. Babies being forbidden in the sanctuary.
4. Topical Preaching in the sanctuary.
5. A gym or commercial kitchen in the church.
6. A flippant Pastor in the sanctuary.
7. Soda machine on church grounds.
8. Families not together in the sanctuary. gl

"Other Christians may say that evangelism, or mission, or revival, or reconstruction is their great concern. But we have only one concern--God Himself--to know Him, to mirror Him, to see Him glorified. We refuse to absolutize any other objective. The salvation of the lost is only important to us insofar as it leads to the hallowing of His name and the coming of His kingdom. The purifying of society is important to us only insofar as it leads to the doing of His will on earth as in heaven. Bible study and prayer are only important to us insofar as they lead us into communion with Him." Stephen Rees

Soda machines, Commercial kitchens, Gyms, Lounges, Coffee mugs everywhere........
Can one be so Heavenly Minded that he is no earthly good? It depends on your definition of Heavenly Minded.
Not legalistic, but Godly in practice and spirit.
Question of Legalism
"Whenever we deal with specific points of obedience as I am going to take the risk in doing we are in danger of sounding "legalistic." Jesus said (John 14:15), "If you love Me, keep My commandments." This is not legalism. True legalism is thinking I can somehow earn God's grace. We cannot add a single thing to what Jesus already accomplished through His death on the cross in purchasing our salvation. But when Christians purpose to obey the Lord explicitly they are often accused of legalism." Jonathan Lindvall

My problem with coffee and water bottles in the church
1. Church should not be an extension of our breakfast table.
2. Church is one hour of one day per week to dedicate solely to worshiping God and yet we are not willing to give up our own trite desires.
3. Does coffee help us to relax? Should we be relaxed at church?
4. Church is not the club, it is not the office. it is a sacred place set aside to worship our Creator and Savior.
5. Is the purpose of church to glorify God or to minister to the congregation? Is it about us?
6. Do we have fear and reverence for Gods temple?
7. When the high priest went into the holy of holies the people would tie a rope around his ankle because they knew that if he did something that was not exactly according to God's instructions he would be struck dead and they needed a way to get him out. They knew that it was a most sacred place and privilege.

"If mankind could have saved himself (Pelagianism), Christ did not need to come. And if we think that we can contribute one iota to his completed work, even our so-called free will, we have denied the sufficiency and perfection of what He has done."
Curtis I. Crenshaw
