General Strategies

 

Attacking - when you attack you should always start it some were that will make a deference like the minerals area. Always start attack at the mineral area unless there is like 6 gateways and only one pylon then attack the pylon. And so on.

 

Minerals - in the begining of the game build 1 probe then select all your porbes and move them to the minerals while there are walking over there select each one at deferent times and order them to gather minerals at different spots. Then when you get 50 more minerals build a nother one as soon as you can. do the same tell you get 9. now if you don't wan't to tack a chans of being rushed build a barriks. if you do build a sulpydepo and and make 9 more scv. then build your barriks with the 9 and with the 10 build one more suply depo. then build 6 more guys when the first 2 come out tell them to build 2 gases. then but 3 on each one. now you will have lots of minerals. when your barriks is done build a bunker or 2 got one more guy to build upgrades. when a suply depo is done build another you should have 2 guy building suplys and 2 guy building other buiuldings.

 

Fighting Against Tanks - if you are Terran and all you have is bunkers and 3 tanks come and start attacking them. Don't worry just tack all of them out of the bunker order them to walk right next to the tanks really close then order them to attack. You don't need to do this if you are zerg or toss because they have to walk right next to them to attack. This does not work if there is five other units there.

 

Attacking 2 If you are playing computers attack the best one, or the one that is attacking you. If your playing humans never rush unless you have map hack and know you will win. And attack the worst player first. Always attack with all units but not at the same spot ( send some them drop ship others at the other end of their base.

 

Rushing : first of all rushing is never a GOOD idea Unless you play some one that sucks, and they have no allies. but if you do rush make only 1 drone and have him gather minerals when you get 150 tell him to build a spon pool. then when thats done build your 6 zerglings.

 

No-Rush Game - Ok, I may not be the best starcraft player, but if its a no-rush game, what I'll do is "right at the begging of the game, I'll use the extra 50 minerals to build another scv, probe, or bug. than I'll make him gather, once I have another 50 minerals, I'll build another scv, probe, or bug to gather gas, than I'll normally get 2 more, one to gather gas, one to build, and if I'm playing against an expert, I'll just get a bunch of scv's, probe's, and bug's than ill get a bunch of air-forces, and ground forces, with terran, I'll nuke his ass, with toss, I'll get a bunch of carriers and not really rush him, but send in a bunch at one time, and with zerg, I'll get a bunch of lurkers, mutaliscks, gardians, and aspectors and fuck up shit at him. Than somwere along the line, I'll get another base to expand incase he finds me first."

 

Gathering Minerals / Gas : Always have one worker mining at each mineral spot and 3 workers gathering gas at a gas geyser, and only have 2 scv gathering from one mineral spot.

 

1vs1 Attacking: If you are going to be attacking a player without any help, it is a very good idea to get a mixture of units. A very good example is a mixture of 12 Guardians and 12 Devourers. Another important tactic is to always manually attack a unit one by one, seeing that the unit will take fast hits, it is sure to crumple down and die. You must always learn to carry spell units like ghosts, defilers, templars. These 3 units in particular can change the tides of battle. Confusing the enemy: The best way to break past a defense, ANY defense, is to sperate your attack party in two. Then send 1 from each of the sides, seeing this, the enemy will either do one of the two obvious things. 1: He will concentrate all his might on 1 group, obviously killing it. Which will now leave the field for your other group to clear. 2: He will also seperate his group in two to attack you. In case he does this, fight him off. If you die, try a different tactic. Upgrading: Always, Only upgrade what you plan on attacking with. You would be suprised how many times I have seen zealots upgraded to 3/3/3 and I wound up being attacked by Carriers with 0/0/0. If you don't plan on using Ground Units, DONT UPGRADE THEM.
