Eating on vacation is something most vacationers love to do!!!

In PV retailers and restaurants change from year to year. So I hope my favorites restaurants are still there. Most of these restaurants are located close to my condo.

The El Torito Sports Bar and Grill.....is one of my favorite casual places to eat. They serve an exceptional bucket of shrimp - the peel and eat kind. They are also known for their BBQ Ribs. If you are vacationing on a cheaper budget make sure you get there between 2pm and 4pm to dine on their world famous ribs at a buy one and get the second one for Free!!!! You can also catch almost any ESPN sporting event here. It is located at Ignacio L. Vallarta #290 but if your not sure of its location - Just Ask Anyone!!!

Cafe' de Olla - another of my casual dining favorites. This is true Mexican cooking at reasonable prices. I espcially enjoy their Chicken Soup for lunch of course with a Margarita!!!! Their Empanadas and Enchiladas are other family favorites. Save the Steak entrees for another one of my favorite picks in PV. If you are in peak season and don't want to wait in a line outside then I advise arriving before the sun sets. I forgot to mention its located at 168 Basilio Badillo. It is closed either Mondays or Tuesdays and THEY DON'T TAKE CREDIT CARDS....CASH ONLY !!!!

 

Asaderos Restaurant & Bar ..... Ok this is just a great deal... for 70 Pesos (about $7.75USD) its ALL YOU CAN EAT. Located at 223 Basilio Badillo They serve Beef, BBQ Ribs, Chicken Mexican Sausage, Beans, Tortillas, and you don't have to stop eating. They also have live music in the form of a xylophone and guitar. Watch out the drinks are about the price of the meal....so plan on drinking water unless you don't care about the bill. It is located 2 blocks from Olas Altas on Basilio Badillo number 223.

 

Il Padrino - Restorante Pizzeria. Located #16 Rodolfo Gomez and Olas Altas. This is a small quaint Italian outdoor/indoor restaurant. The Cream of Mushroom soup is great. In the past they have been very accommodating with special orders. They always have a fresh fish special, pizza, spaghetti,tortellini and of course Caesar Salad.

Los Pibes an Argentinean Restaurant - Ok folks this is the place to get your STEAK AND EAT IT TOO! They have the best steaks I have ever had. The menu features charcoal grilled top cuts of imported beef, pork, and seafood. The decorations, waiters uniforms and the ambiance in general are all Argentineans. They have two locations in PV one in the Marina and the original downtown location of 261 Basilio Badillo.
