HOVHANESS MEMORIAL TRIBUTE
All selections below were played on my special memorial program. In addition to playing Hovhaness's music I also included selections by various musicians he was inspired by. These included the Armenian composer Komitas as well as Western composers Sibelius and Handel. To me some of the greatest performances of Hovhaness's music were never transferred to CD which is why this tribute contained a number of very special LPs.
