Curly Sue (AKA Miss Piggy) - teenage, 14.2hh, bay Paint, 'Extreme' Baskir Curly. Well Broke, easy to handle, INCREDIBLY EASY KEEPER! Has been vet-checked and is in foal - due sometime around christmas.. Only God knows who the sire is! Must have heated barn and/or live in warmer climate to adopt - for the safety of the foal.***ADOPTED!****

COCO BUTTER - Approx. 10 year old, 13.3 hh, Chocolate Characteristic POA mare, Good attitude, Good feet, Has been trained to go off of leg cues, Jumps over 4' with perfect form! Currently on loan to a jump barn and being used as a schooling pony. - she's just INCREDIBLE as a 'pony club mount'!.

CASPER - energetic, very sensitive, goes off of leg/weight cues. In shape for AERC endurance rides. He is a VERY 'one person' horse due to the prior 'redneck trainers' that never could 'break' him. Don't know if we'll ever find 'the right person' - but he sure likes having Laura on his back!

SMOKEY STAR - Black Beauty - Little Beauty - Pecan - Ghost - & Pepper... Thanks to those that found a home for them! ***ADOPTED!***

SPRING (not picture yet..) - 16 year old, registered APHC mare. 15.1hh, Characteristic chestnut w/star... She was unhandled until right before she came here (when she was tamed). She is now broke, has over 100 miles of road riding under her belt, She has the most NATURAL headset for pleasure competition and will go into a nice jog when asked. She's no slacker on the trails though! If you ask - she will go - and go- and go...... She's in training for endurance - but she can truly do BOTH!

DISABLED/SPECIAL NEEDS HORSES

These are broke as well - but will require special attention the rest of their lives..

HONEY: Older, 14hh, Palomino mare.. Gorgeous build, good temperament, Smooth trotter, Using as a 'leadline mount' for our kids.. DISABILITY: Approximatly 70% sight loss due to injury. Former owners didn't want to vet her so we got her. Will require solid fencing. Can only be kept with the mildest tempered of horses - since it was a proud cut gelding that caused her to run into a wall while being chased.... READY TO ADOPT TO THE PROPER HOME...*****recently injured badly - can go to good home AFTER recovering*****

**Patches** (not pictured yet) a VERY loud Bay/White SSH mare. 14.1 hh and STOUT boned. Approx. 10 years old. Has Fibrigia (scar tissue formation - not life threatening..) and is badly foundered. We've spent 7 months getting her weight on and she's 'servicably sound' with special farrier work. She is five-gaited - and INCREDIBLE on the trails!

REQUIREMENTS FOR ADOPTION

When you come here - be prepared for a unique experience.. Bring your riding helment! You will not only be evaluting whether the horse suites you - but we will be evaluating whether your riding ability suites THE HORSE!

If all goes well - then you must pass one more criteria - as listed below..

These seem common sense, but you'd be amazed at how many horses are kept without these basic neccessities.......

1 Acre properly fenced per horse.
Proper safe Shelter within fenced area - or proper barn.
Permanent Water Source in area - trough, stream or pond...
Plenty of hay and grain in proper storage area - or rolls of hay in storage.
ALL current livestock on property must be in good condition!

You can either give us the phone number for your large animal veterinarian as your referral - IF he has been on property within the last six months...

You can pay for our fuel and we will deliver horse and do a personal inspection and approval.

*****DO YOU WANT TO HELP AS WELL AS LEARN?*****

We are always looking for Sponserships. We are NOT non-profit - these will be listed as 'athletic sponserships' for the farm Mascot: Sparky Coyote - your name or corporate name with be painted on our 6-horse trailer. You will therefore get advertising at rodeos, horse fairs, basically anywhere our trainer and mascot go! These are tax deductable as an 'advertising expense'... But funds will go toward education, facility improvement, and care of the rescued horses.

We are also aways looking for discounts on feed and hay. We cannot accept them for free - unless it's just a gift. Anyone giving us discounts is also offered the chance to put their name on our trailer.

We also have room for volunteers. Even if you've never been around horses - we will teach you to be a horseman from ground up!

We do OFFER horsemanship classes for individuals that want to adopt - but lack horse management knowlege. We use some of our 'special needs' horses that are now permanent residents. (We have 6 'permanant residents' currently)

If you are looking for a boarding facility or a convenient place for you or your child to learn about horses **prior** to adopting one we recomend the following facilities....
