| A sad reflection on today's society, |
| that doesn't seem to receive much notoriety. |
| A broken home, who's parents consist, |
| of a drug addicted Father, and a Mother who is missed. |
| until it's the other's turn to tend "the mistakes." |
| These poor children, left to run, |
| get into trouble, and consider it fun. |
| It's not my fault, these parents claim. |
| The children are the ones to blame. |
| How can these children learn on their own? |
| When they have no place to really call home. |
| One week with Mom, the next with Dad. |
| Their once innocent eyes, now angry and mad. |
| Mom's never home, she always works. |
| Dad doesn't care, his presence just lurks. |
| These poor children, their innocence lost. |
| Because of selfish parents, they pay the cost. |
| What will tomorrow hold for these children |
| By selfish parents who's responsibility is hushed. |
| Guns in schools? Kids killing kids? |
| An innocent girl, selling herself for the highest bids? |
| Grow up parents! Show your children love and care, |
| or the next child killed may be YOUR cross to bear. |
