CONVENTIONAL THEORY OF TIDES

The attractive forces of the moon and the sun
operate to pile up ocean waters in a wave directly
beneath them, forming at the same time a similar
wave on the opposite side of the Earth. These tide
waves have a wavelength of one half the
circumference of the Earth, and as the Earth
rotates they try to follow the moon and the sun.
In doing so, they would cause a high tide
whenever they reached a continent. If the ocean
covered the entire globe, such direct tides would
occur every 12 hours and 25 minutes under the
gravitational attraction of the moon and every
12 hours under the attraction of the sun.
The direct tides, however, are influenced by the
depth of ocean basins, by the Earth's rotation, and
by the continental boundaries they touch, so the high
tides do not follow the moon and the sun exactly.
The actual tides are therefore indirect tides.
A full understanding of the actual tides has not
been reached by scientists.
When there is a full moon or a new moon, the sun
and the moon are in line with the Earth, and their
gravitational attractions are added together. This
causes higher-than-normal high tides, which are
called spring tides though they have nothing to do
with the season of the year.
When the moon is in its first and last quarters,
the sun and the moon are at right angles to one
another, and the attractive force of the sun partially
offsets the attractive force of the moon. This
causes lower-than-normal high tides, called neap
tides.
Predicting Astronomical Tides
It is difficult to predict astronomical tides solely from
observation of the movements of the moon and sun..
Careful measurements of the rise and fall of the
water level are made over a long period of time.
Instruments called tide gauges are placed at each
point from which a tide prediction is needed. When
subjected to a process known as harmonic analysis,
tide-gauge records yield information that can be
directly related to the movements of the moon and
sun. Tides can then be predicted from the known
future motion of the moon and sun.
THE TRUTH IS THAT THE CURRENT THEORY OF
GRAVITATION CANNOT POSSIBLY PREDICT THE

RESEARCH ON ASTRONOMICAL OCEAN TIDES
An examination of United States Coast and Geodetic
Survey Tidal Data, which was gathered by extensive
measurements over long periods of time,was compared
with astronomical data showing the phases of the
moon at corresponding times for many years. This
correlation of the two sets of data revealed a
very interesting fact, in a manner that had never
before been mentioned in the literature.
It is invariably and exactly
the lowest tide that exists directly under the
full and new moons at deep ocean ports.
This was a very interesting discovery because

,would lead one to believe that,except for many
possible reasons, the highest tides tend to be
under the full and new moons. The dictionary and
encyclopedia as well as physics texts predict this
with pictures of the earth and oceans bulging on
the side facing the full moon. Of course it never
happens as the gravitational theory predicts,
and many reasons are given for the discrepancies.
No discrepancies were found in the occurence of
exactly the lowest tide directly under the full
and new moons.One must admit that this is beyond
question one of the most important descoveries
of modern physics research. It indicates that a
change must be made in the theory of gravitation.
One can no longer assume that a force between
the moon and the water of the earth's oceans,
is causing the ocean tides. The force of
gravity must be an illusion caused by some other
more basic reason.If the rest of the universe is
expanding relative to masses, the masses must be
shrinking (gravitation) relative to the rest of
the universe.

A new theory of gravitation is given, which
predicted, stimulated the above research,and is
consistent with the new findings.
A NEW THEORY OF TIDES
According to the UNITED STATES COAST AND
GEODETIC SURVEY DATA it is the low tide that
invariably occurs directly under the full and new
moons. A modification of the theory of gravitation is
necessary to predict the actual tidal occurrence.
The modified theory states that the total energy of
the universe is a constant. The sum of kinetic energy
and potential energy is a constant. If this simple
assumption is made, it is easy to predict the exact
occurrence of the lowest tide in deep ocean water.
This is in exact agreement with the U.S. COAST
AND GEODETIC SURVEY DATA. The ocean tides
can not be caused by a gravitational attraction of the
moon and the sun for the water of the earth's oceans.
The tidal wave would be over 12,000 miles long .
Consistent with wave theory ,and the conventional
gravitational theory, water must flow from the peak
to the trough of the wave in order for the trough to
become a peak. This 1000 mph flow would wash
away the continents and humanity in one day.
Something is obviously wrong with the conventional
theory.
According to the new theory of gravitation:
The tides are caused by a change of the kinetic
energy and volume of the ocean water relative to
the rest of the universe. As the moon direction
changes relative to the earth's ocean water, potential
energy of the moon and earth's ocean water changes
relative to the rest of the universe. To maintain a
constant total energy of the system, the relative kinetic
energy of the system must change. The low tide would
be predicted to be where it actually and invariably is,
directly under the full and new moons. According to the
conventional theroy for tides, it is not possible to predict
the tides from the position of the moon and the sun.
This is due to the fact that the gravitational theory is in
error. GRAVITATIONAL ATTRACTION BETWEEN
MASSES IS AN ILLUSION. Relative volumetric
acceleration of a mass depends on the relative density
of the mass.
mL^3/t^2 = - G (M-m)m. which was derived from
mL^2/t^2 + G(M-m)m/L=a constant M. The total energy
of the universe is a constant. The sum of kinetic and
potential energies is a constant. m is the mass in
question. M is the total energy of the effective universe.
L is distance.t = time. G is the gravitational constant.
The illusion results from the fact that we compare the
mass m with another mass m' instead of with the
rest of the universe M-m.
