Sabal palmetto "transplant"
1995
I purchased this Sabal for $50 from a harvester in FL.
The palm was dug out and loaded in my truck, traveled 425 miles and then planted here 9.5 hours later.
1996
After a bad 95-96 winter the palm produced many new fronds.
1997
More growth.
1998
Three years later and a full crown has returned.
