Filifera VS. Robusta

    This may be a good example of the hardiness of Washigtonia. As of 12/28/04 we have had 5 nights in the teens. The lowest temperature was 13.6 and the other four teen nights were between 15 to 19.
    Below are pictures of a filifera on the left and robusta on the right. Both palms had trunk protection only with fronds fully exposed. Washingtonia filifera clearly out preforms robusta.
