New York Times write about your U.S. Patent and how great the feeling
is to have your concept undergo research.
Steps . . .
In 1981, I was granted a U.S. Patent on a magnetic educational toy. I thought industry would seek me out. WRONG! The only contact was from "invention marketing" companies, who for a hefty price tag, said they would market my invention.
Having no extra time, the patent remained in my hallway closet and the idea never got to market. I promised myself that with the next idea, getting it to market would become a priority. This I have done! The last seven years were spent in this "new job." I spent months calling to get Licensing Agreements. I have many contacts. I may be able to help you.
Stay away from these folks --- generally all they wish is your money!
Draw a picture, write a description and have 2 adults sign and date it. Why? This will give you important legal rights. Then go for a patent. Or at least, get a Provisional Patent, which only cost $75.00. You will be protected ("patent pending") while you discuss your idea with potential companies.
step: Resolve...you must get involved
Resolve to be very active in finding a company and in the marketing of your invention. Let's face it, you are the only one who believes in your invention. (Don't include your patent attorney, since he/she makes money by sending in the application to the USPTO, whether or not a patent eventually gets issued.)
