First New Mexico Field Music
Regimantal Fifes and Drums

attached to 1st NEW MEXICO VOLUNTEERS
COMPANY “A”

The First NM Field Music is a traditional fife and drum corp. We play rope tensioned field drums and wood fifes. The music we play is from the 1860's. It includes the standard Bruce and Emmett music and, due to the strong Hispanic influence on the First NM, many traditional Mexican folk tunes adapted to the fife and drum.  We have performed at Civil War reenactments, numerous parades, school programs, living history, and memorial services. Anyone intersted in fife and drum is welcome to join us. Please check the schedule and roster below to contact us for more information.
