Fairchild 216-A
The Fairchild 216-A came out with the 215 series, designed to play vertically modulated transcriptions.  It was available only in the -A version, with a 2-mil stylus tip.  Its construction is quite different from the other Fairchild mono moving-coil cartridges.  Enjoy this back-waters Fairchild!
Unlike the models for lateral transcriptions, the 216-A's coil is placed vertically above the stylus tip.  This would seem to produce a very high moving mass at the stylus tip, with a resultant high tracking force and limited high-frequency response.  However, I neither have a 216-A nor specifications to confirm these suspicions.
