Vol. VI #9 (Jan 1894 to May 1895) summary issue is the last of the first six volumes. This one has no covers, O/W complete and clean. Has member list, membership graph, contents, index, illustrations list, NGS Publications list, and other year end reports. I could provide color print of covers with this one for $55 (picture avail.)
Vol. VII #2 (Feb. 1896) (Sold) Covers are chipped and loose. The issue and the map of the Orinoco River are VG. $85 (picture avail.)
Vol. VII #5 (May 1896) Covers are missing. This is the issue with engraving of G.G. Hubbard in the front which caused it to be late in delivery (note of explanation is not there). It is also the only issue to have tissue paper protector next to an engraving photo (it is there). Also has the sketch map of Africa with the unique (done in those days) mounting on insert tab so that it can be seen as spread out double page. Contents and ads very good or better. $65 (picture avail.)
Vol. IX #11 (Nov 1898) Covers missing, no ads. Contents have some edge staining lower right corner. $45 (picture avail.)
Dec. 1899 Covers missing, O/W a clean copy $65

Feb. 1900 (Sold) No, this is not tape! While this copy has no back cover,
it is preserved in its present condition with a special spine protector and clear
Mylar covers that are removable without effect. This is what I have done to all my pre 20's issues, no matter how good the
grade. I like this more than baggies because the issue may still be used while
touching only the protection surface, they look great on the shelf, and install without
altering the issue.

They easily cut to
the length of the issue and slip over the clear Mylar sheets placed on the front and back
of the issue. They do not touch the issue, but sandwich the Mylar covers onto the issue
without any harm in the short term or the long term. Baggies can harm issues when they are
bagged, and look very un-natural. Inquire by E-mail for details on the products
involved to do this, and obtaining them. I can also provide more pics or samples of
this protection.
