A world without his magic and optimism, A world without his visions and his dreams. Walt Disney
believed in children, family and smiles. He believed in God, America, faith and inspiration. He believed
in life, success and failure, hard~work and dedication, and education and progress. Walt Disney believed
in fantasy. He believed in talking mice, flying elephants, Princesses just waiting for true loves first
kiss, and silly little dwarfs. He believed in laughing places, fairy God~mothers, and coon~skin caps...little
wooden boys given life, guided by their very own conscience, singing nannies, and never growing up in
a far away place called Neverland. He believed in small worlds, zip~a~dee~doo~dah days, and magic in
the stars. During his sixty~five year life, Walt Disney gave us many precious gifts... There's
his animated characters and classic fairy tales, loved and adored all over the world, treasured memories
passed from generation to generation. There's his Magic Kingdom, he built in a California orange grove.
The Happiest Place on Earth for children and their families to enjoy together. A sort of 'escape',
free from abuse and neglect, illness and disease, hatred and violence. A place to forget our troubles,
if only for a little while. A place for the child in all of us to feel love, safety and security. There's
his Sunday night visits into our living rooms. Special times spent with Uncle Walt as he introduced
us to his World of Color', changing our television and entertainment industry forever. And there's
the Mickey Mouse Club, just plain old wholesome family entertainment. Cherished memories etched in the
hearts and minds of the millions who grew up with the show. Who can forget Annette Funicello, those
famous Mouse ears, and "Now it's time to say Good~bye?" Walt Disney has become a true American legend.
Our bridge from fantasy to reality, our past to our future. He taught us that "No idea was too small,
no vision too tall, if only we choose to believe!" Even now, years after his death, we still cherish
his creations and ideas. He will always be a source of joy and inspiration to the child in all of us.
His legacy proves that "A Dream (really) is a Wish Your Heart Makes!" Young and old alike, we all
carry a little piece of Walt Disney in our hearts and a sprinkle of 'Pixie Dust' in our memories. Thank
you Walt Disney for all your dreams, your visions, and your magic. Thank you for allowing us to share
your imagination and your life. You have given us more than a lifetime of memories. And you left this
world a thousand times better than when you arrived. You are truly missed and We love you!
