Mr. Gilmore was born and raised in Allentown, PA and received his professional training in fine arts, in and around the Philadelphia area. He studied at the Moore Institute of Art, the Museum School of Art and the Baum School. He also studied with some prominent artists in Santa Fe, New Mexico and Rockport, MA. He is a member of the American Society of Marine Artists. Mr. Gilmore's paintings are noted for their artistic and technical qualities and shows his knowledge of light, depth, perspective and the use of color. His oil paintings are in many private collections and institutions throughout the country. Mr. Gilmore lives and teaches in West Central Florida.
