Great Bay and Coastal New Hampshire Osprey Monitoring

Although the official Project Osprey partnership has concluded its 5-year mission, osprey monitoring will continue in southeastern New Hampshire as Great Bay Osprey Stewards.  This year under the leadership of Chris Martin of New Hampshire Audubon.       Why the change? - click here.

The mission of the Great Bay Osprey Stewards (GBOS) is to promote and enhance osprey populations and the habitats they depend upon in the Great Bay watershed, through population monitoring, outreach, education, and stewardship.

Incubation is underway at all 13 of our nests: Colby Marsh (4/13), Stubbs Pond (4/16), Brookside Sanctuary (4/21),  Landing Road (4/18), Squamscott River (4/20),  Dame Road (4/23), Lubberland Creek (4/24), Strafford  County Farm (04/25), Willey Pond (05/01), Weapons Area #3 (05/02), Blackwater River (05/05),  Weapons Area #4 (05/06) & Jeffs Hill(05/08).
