14:15 Water everywhere after the Nor'easter, but the pond level was down almost 2' because a section of the beaver dam washed away. For ~1 hour F was sitting in the nest & M was hanging around the pond, landing in different trees, flying by the nest & twice landing on the nest. 14:32 with both M & F on the nest, a 3rd osprey flew over the nest, then away.

14:00 4" of snow on the trail. Pond open water. Female on nest; male perched ~50 yds north in dead pine. Both birds calling - heard 3rd osprey north at the far end of the pond. Both flew off north & F returns to nest with twig - nest repair. Male returns empty handed & perched in same tree. Did not see 3rd osprey. - might have been circling high over north end of pond. Lots of ducks and geese on open water. Two great blue herons on south side of pond. A beaver strayed a little too far from the pond - appeared that a coyote? had a feast.
