WOW! 5+ Stars.
Five stars plus! I enjoyed every page of Force of Fire, so much so that I couldn't "put it down" once I "picked it up". Ms. Knapp has woven a complex yet compelling tale of suspense and action that picks the reader up and carries them along in this fast-paced account. The colorful descriptions of Latin America and Spain transport the reader to the locale so you feel like you're there in the thick of the action, and the characters are so well developed, you feel like you've known them for a while. I really enjoyed reading this book, and so will anyone who is a discriminating reader of quality fiction.

Move over Tom Clancy!
I loved Force of Fire! I got it in the mail yesterday from Amazon and couldn't turn off my computer until I was done. Rosa Turner Knapp has written a page-turner, or cursor-clicker should we say, since it's on CD. These are characters we get to know and care about. Ms. Knapp's intricate knowledge of Spain is evident. Her novel makes me want to go back there again. Force of Fire takes us inside espionage. She shows the human sacrifices made by people doing intelligence work. Move over Tom Clancy!

A page-turning, satisfying read.
Rosa Turner Knapp takes her readers on a wild ride through the dark underbelly of Central American drug smugglers and revolutionaries in Force of Fire.

Joe McFadden and Mark Neal form an uneasy alliance as they race against time to save Ana Kane. The outlaw who kidnapped her has borne a grudge against her father, an intelligence officer, for many years...Ms. Knapp really knows her stuff. She's traveled and lived in the places she's written about. Her characters' histories and the plot are also based on her personal experiences.

This espionage thriller is a page-turning, satisfying read.

A fascinating story that belongs in every espionage library.
Ana Kane works for a United States government contractor that supplies help to impoverished countries but works indirectly for the State Department. On an assignment to furnish medicines to a clinic in Costa Negra, Ana is kidnapped by a group of guerrillas. The other government worker with her, Joe McFadden, is spared and manages to report back the news.

Mark Neal is given the task of finding Ana by his boss, Cromwell. The quest takes Mark, Joe, and Ana's boyfriend, Scott Denton, to Spain, where she has been transported by Basque terrorists working with the Costa Negra guerrillas. There the trio meet gypsies, a strange Spaniard who seems to be a double agent, and people who seem to be around all the time.

This novel of suspense and espionage delves deeply into the lives of Ana Kane and her family, especially her father, who was an agent working for a little known agency before his death. Knapp keeps the reader interested by turning up more and more facts which eventually tell the story of what is really happening to all the characters. Force of Fire is a fascinating story that every espionage fan should have as part of a library.

Action aplenty.
There is action aplenty in this tale of the twists and turns of the trail between Latin American drug traffickers and Basque separatists. The story begins with the brutal kidnapping of Ana Kane. Her driver is killed and her escort, Joe McFadden is shot and left for dead. This charming file is dropped on DOS analyst Mark Neal's desk when he is activated to operative status.

Neal is given McFadden as backup and also saddled with Ana's ex-lover, Scott Denton, an ex-DEA informant. After a quick trip to the kidnap scene in Central America, they move to Spain and it isn't long before bullets start flying and
