Flag Ribbon Pin
Seven members of the Huntsville Big Spring Chapter of the American Needlepoint Guild (ANG) attended the ANG National Seminar in Washington, DC in early September 2001.  Since we had a car (my Stitchin' Van goes everywhere), we drove many times past the Pentagon -- the Seminar hotel was on the same street, about 8 blocks south.  The week after we returned home, we stared in horror at the TVs at the destruction to this building, the WTC, and our collective psyche.  My husband was a career Army officer and had spent many hours in that building.  My connection to this event was, therefore, very strong.  I wanted to do something! This ribbon/pin is that "something."  Please display our flag and join me in praying for our country.  Please feel free to pass on this ribbon/pin design to anyone who is interested.  God Bless America!!!

If you are a novice beader, any beading book can give you directions on doing Peyote Stitch.  Carol Wilcox Wells' book, Creative Bead Weaving, is an excellent source. There are also websites which give basic instructions, into which this design would fall.  I think Suzanne Cooper's site, suzannecooper.com, also has basic stitch directions.

Have fun and wear your pin proudly!!!
Pansy Garden
This design was created last summer for the Alabama Chapter of The Embroiderers' Guild of America, Inc. (EGA) Tennessee Valley Region (TVR) Share-A-Stitch in Birmingham.  The theme for our chapter was pansies, so I created this amulet bag.  I had many requests for this design and now it's available!

(EGA) Tennessee Valley Region (TVR) Share-A-Stitch in Atlanta.  The theme for SAS was Tea for Two, so I created this amulet bag teapot.  I had many requests for this design and now it's available!

Flower Purse
This little purse was my first amulet purse design.  It's great for a beginning Peyote Stitch beader.  It is beaded with Delicas and has seed beads in the fringe.  It is a very good design to start beading amulet purses.  It is also fairly small.  Now it's available for you to bead!

Beaded Stitch Counter
What is a Stitch Counter?  Ask any needlepointer!  You'll soon discover that this is a wonderful little tool to add to your collection!  And when you know how to do this piece, you can move on to scissors fobs, bracelets, and anything else your imagination comes up with.  Use beads from your stash, find a new bead to use, or trade with a friend.  The sky is the limit.  And you'll never be without one again!

Queen of the Nile Frameweight
Every needlepointer needs a frameweight at some point.  How about making a fantastic jeweled piece using your favorite Watercolours (I used "Nefertiti").  This is an easy piece of needlepoint on 18 count mono canvas.  You can choose to use your own favorite fibers and beads to coordinate with other pieces in your tool collection.  I use this one a lot!  And it has travelled with me to many classes and seminars.  Use your imagination and stitch one of these great additions to your needlework tools!

Preview of Things to Come
I soon will be releasing several new designs in needlepoint and beading.  They should be out in the next month or two.  Hope you like them.  Have fun stitchin' and beadin'.
