Fear
Probably the only existing natural instinct human beings exhibit. Fear is a basic impulse one has of the unknown. One cannot grow without fear, although we'd like to be afraid of nothing, fear makes us who we are, it owns us. The most basic fear is that of the dark, of what cannot be seen, it may be an irrational fear some psychologists say, but it is the unknown of the abyss that conjures even more frightening thoughts that one feeds into themselves even in the moment of being in the dark.
Reverence: The fear of God is one that is so hard for devout believers to break, cause it's built into their systems from a young age. They basically fool themselves to believe that God is nice, and just. Well he may be, but they still instinctly know, that they cannot get past that fear. Live in freedom or live under someone elses bondage. I'm sure that when Moses spoke to God he had his own anger towards God for letting his people anguish in bondage, why didn't God do anything about it? I mean he's God right? He can snap his fingers and create an eden, so why not remove his people from the daily affliction? Because God owned them for their fear of him. He kept them in bondage because they worshiped him. There's a very thin line between fear and love. As you can tell by me writing that, i don't fear God. I'm not his bitch.
Death: It is our one true destination, there is no detour to the ending. Everyday that passes, allows you 24 hours to observe and understand it's complexities and know that it could be your last. You should get acquaintied with dead. Not death, but dead, the moment the light in you eyes die out, the realization that your everyday is nothing but one day closer to the end.
"Now. Don't hang on, nothing lasts forever but the earth and sky
It slips away, and all your money won't another minute buy.
Dust in the wind, all we are is dust in the wind" [Kansas]
I've had my share of dead, not to go into specifics, but i understand death has one purpose, control of population. I urge you to envelope the song "The Great Gig In The Sky" by Pink Floyd. In an epic journey of 4 minutes and 44 seconds of music that holds your hand and blows your mind as you die in the song, a woman vocalizes what it's like as you are dying. I had a suicide attempt before i even listened to Pink Floyd, but when i became so numb, as i overdosed, you can hear it. I'm not telling you to take 10 Trazadone and check it out. But i am saying to listen to it, and brace your face as you look into the agenda of death.
Death is something everyday people run from. Death is not the end of creation, but the finishing phase in the flow of creation. Things can't be created completely if they don't go through it's entire phases. Birth, growth, failure, conquest and death. Death is the one thing that keeps us from being a complete work of art. So to run from death is to run from completion..in a sense. Death is the final stage of creation, only after death, can the art, be called art. I've been afraid of death on occasion, but not entirely. I think that my not being afraid to die makes me own my life. Not something everyone can do.
Conquer: Own your fear, because it is yours but owns you, stand firm and grip it tightly. There is a point that man and woman alike will become so tired of being afraid that the endorphin rush will be so bold that fear will be afraid of you. When you stab every fear in the face and drag the jagged knife of your concious mortality through it's existence. Such an empowering thing like this you'll never forget about, and it will amp you for further feats that you challenge. It's at this time where you actually own your fear, and it is your bitch. You'll be able to use it to your own strengths, and reinforce your status against it. There are so many things to be afraid of but i wouldn't try to overcome all fear, you wouldn't be human if you did.
The things that we fear most, have already happened to us. ~ Deepak Chopra
