When comic creator Dave Stevens proposed a book based on the original pin-up girl Betty Page, he was turned down because the book wasn't marketable. Not wanting to give up on his quest, Dave created a new hero called THE ROCKETEER, and made Betty Page his girlfriend. This statue is based Dave Stevens drawing on page 8 of PACIFIC PRESENTS THE ROCKETEER.
