We think that our initial panel shown below is going to have a Grand Rapids Technology EIS centered where the volt meter is now... GRT offers a 2 stroke version with altitude and vertical speed options... The 2 stroke version should work OK on our 2 cylinder VW with the Leburg EI which fires every crankshaft revolution...
These are the 7 valuable flight measurements available from 2 of 7 GRT EIS pages... Aux would be oil pressure in our set up with an alarm on low volts... The EIS alarm is a large red panel light and a sounder...
