Power tools
Used Bench Tools:
Metal brake - Empenage ribs and some of the control fittings
Drill press with vice - used everywhere!
Disk Sander - very handy
Belt Sander - used all the time
Metal Bandsaw - used more than I care to cut with a hacksaw! Also used on woodwork in the wings.
Power tools
Bench grinder - new from Harbor Freight - used frequently!
Die grinder - when you need it you really need it on tubing and welds.
Right angle grinder - used frequently on tubing and welds!
Dremel tool with sawing drill bit and sanding drum assys - wing fitting must!
Tubing notcher - need one that goes past 90 degrees - this one doesn't!
2 electric hand drills ( a must for riveting operation) had one and borrowed one.
Lincoln MIG welder - see fuselage pages for more data (not a good choice).
8-1/4" Compound Mitre Saw - used frequently on wings.
Hand Tools
Assorted tools to include:
Small hammer - Short handled heavy hammer - see pictures
Lots of clamps - see pictures
A g o o d hacksaw - there is a difference you won't believe!
Sharp drill bits or a way to keep them sharp!
A 4' Drywall T - Square - used many different ways.
