Cats, can get ill like every animal of course. Because of this you should
choose your vet the same way as you choose your own doctor.
You can ask neighboors, friends, breeders and so on which experiences they
have made and  ask who the best vet is.It is not always the vet in town.!!!

It's very important that you know the praxis, so you don't have to
look for the praxis in an emergency.So if you get a cat , search for a vetpraxis before , when you have time, 
and have a look there and ,subscribe your cat so that all is done  when you come in with her/him.

Here are some questions, so you can make a better choice:

-Is the praxis clean and has it more than one room ?

-Can you come now if this is nessasary ?-or can you make a date?

-Can you  come and just have a look ?
First agree a date when you can , so the vet has enough time to
explain everything.

-Does the vet write the whole history of the illness down ?
In a emergency he doesn't have to ask for everything.

-Does he examine everything when he should give a shot ?-
If the cat is ill he can give you some medicine.

-Do you have problems with asking the vet anything ?

-Is he kind to the animals ?-

-Does he have pets himself?-

-Is he careful with a biting and scratching cat?-

-Does he give you some literature how you can keep the cat healthy?

-Does he say : I'm sorry but I can't help you any more.
You should go to a specialist ?-

-Does he say to you how expensive it could be ?-
It can be very expensive:
Bloodcheck, Vaccinations.Operation,X-ray..

more questions:

-Does he explain to you what he is doing now ? For example:
I am checking the blood of your cat. We can see then if the cat
has any kidney or liverdisease., f.i.?-

To keep  your cat healthy ,he/she should eat good food. of course.

That all is very important Of course there are 
other methods nowadays . You can treat with , f.i homeopathics.

We treat with this medicins when possibly.
But the most important thing is to know how the cat is doing usually,
every changing you should tell your vet.

I hope you understand now, how important it is ,to find a good vet.
You are loving your animal and so you just want to give it in the best hands...
