I have been involved in the world of dog sports since 1978. I began my involvement with obedience. I have seven obedience titles to date: six Companion Dog (CD) titles and one Companion Dog Excellent (CDX). Within the span of seven years, I managed to get a third place nationwide placement on a male Labrador Retriever, and first place in Open nationwide with a harlequin Great Dane female named Riverwood's Danska Flicka, CDX.

I have titles on a Brittany, a Dalmatian, two Labrador Retrievers, a Doberman Pinscher, and, of course, two titles for a Great Dane. To date, I have always succeeded in achieving an AKC title in three consecutive trials.
