Eco-Challenge: Hike - Kayak with Trekking Hawaii !

Our stay at Kelly's vacation home was one of our very best vacations ever. We were looking for a peaceful, tranquail retreat, with an emphasis on nature, away from the crowds and commercial tourist spots, and Kelly's home perfectly fit our needs.
The home is in a beautiful setting, with an absolutely stunning ocean view unimpeded by development, just beautiful rolling hills between the home and ocean. The home itself was charming and welcoming, sparkling clean, and with every necessary amenity.
And Kelly was the perfect host. While fully respecting our privacy, he was always available for recommendations, all of which proved terrific. Thanks to Kelly, we discovered incredible Hapuna Beach ( just a hop-skip-and jump away from his home, and the best body-surfing I've ever done), incredible hiking trails, and many other delights of this most beautiful island.
In terms of location, we were so glad we chose the Kohala coast. When the rest of the island was hit with rain, it was sunny and ideal conditions on the Kohala coast. This was a wonderful vacation, and also an excellent value, and we feel we couldn't have made a better choice than Kelly's Affordable Vacation Home. We stayed for one week, and our only regret was having to leave.

Aloha, I'm happy to recommend the Kawaihae Vacation House to anyone
planning a visit to the Big Island. Our stay there during Christmas
2003 was most enjoyable. The house is roomy, comfortable for
4-6 people and bright with large windows that allow for whale watching while
you sip your morning coffee.
We have many favorite places to visit on the Big Island but we
particularly enjoy the north Kohala area. The Kawaihae Vacation House
located just 3 miles from the ocean and 7 miles from the town of Waimea
gives easy access to adventures as well as convenient shopping. Just a few
of the many adventures we enjoyed nearby were a hike down into the Pololu
Valley, lazing and swimming on beautiful beaches and strolling through the
charming town of Hawi.
Kelly was a wonderful host who gave us information and directions about
new places to explore. If you like the idea of staying in a local
neighborhood I'm sure you will enjoy your stay at the Kawaihae Vacation house.
Sincerely, Shellie from Alaska
My wife Sandy and I really enjoyed our stay in the "trekking house".
Kelly and I went diving together, the three of us went flying together on a scenic air tour circling the Big Island,
we went sailing with a local crew (friends of Kellys), and Sandy and I went kayaking on Valentine's day! The house is rich in history, spacious and private. We will be back....
Enjoy your visit!
Robert, Western Wa.
