For over 50 years, 10 US presidents in my lifetime (I'm 46 now) have tried basically the same thing with middle eastern leaders to solve the problem of a secure homeland for the people of Palestine and Israel. </B></div> <bR> <div> <B>A wise man once said trying the same thing over and over again and still failing is the definition of insanity. A 50 year old unsolved problem requires the world to think TOTALLY outside the box of the failed way we have tried to solve a problem before any more of God or Allah's children die. </B></div> <bR> <div> <B>In America, if neighbors feud for even 5 years somebody has to move. </B></div> <bR> <div> <B>Thus I, Michael "Woody" O'Brien a simple man in Mechanicsburg Pa USA gifted only with my plain old horse sense propose the following solution. </B></div> <bR> <div> <B>Hope you are sitting down because this idea is really outside the box, but it will for 1000% sure work to finally give the world and the Mideast the gift of peace in Israel and Palestine. </B></div> <bR> <div> <B>The United States of America has many states in our southwest with vast empty tracts of land larger than all of Israel and Palestine with nearly the exact same climate and other conditions. </B></div> <bR> <div> <B>New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada and southern Utah to be exact. Most of the land in these states belongs to the US government. </B></div> <bR> <div> <B>I propose America admit our mistake 50+ years ago in putting enemies next to each other via the UN and give either the Israelis or Palestinians southwest land in America and they all move there. </B></div> <bR> <div> <B>America could spend 100 billion dollars to build everything needed in their new North American continent homeland in conditions MUCH better than the moving people live in now and it would be a bargain compared to what we will spend in the next 50 years in Mideast problems. The moved people would live as a separate independent country within the US borders protected from harm by its former enemy by its new geography. </B></div> <bR> <div> <B>The moved people would enjoy all the benefits of American life, all masques or temples rebuilt would allow pursuit of religious beliefs free from fear of violence. </B></div> <bR> <div> <B>What people would move? The smartest people to say yes first would be my idea. </B></div> <bR> <div> <B>However, world referendum, UN vote, coin flip it really doesn't matter how just as long as somebody's people agree to move and live in peace far away from the other. </B></div> <bR> <div> <B>One thing is for sure with 15 thousand miles safe distance between them it would be pretty hard for either to keep killing the other. </B></div> <bR> <div> <B>Both societies would stop depriving their people of overdue economic advancement because far to much of their government spending is on killing each other. </B></div> <bR> <div> <B>Before you reject this idea as nuts, remember 50 years of the same thing over and over again with no success defines failure. </B></div> <bR> <div> <B>Human history is full of immigration driven by liberty and security. </B></div> <bR> <div> <B>The pilgrims coming to America, The Jews fleeing Egypt and Germany, Every person who escaped the Berlin Wall, the Indians who fled the white man, The Irish fleeing famine, Slaves on the underground railroad, even American draft dodgers who moved to Canada. Moving away from lands where your are at peril is as old as the cave man migrating to safer hunting grounds. </B></div> <bR> <div> <B>Please pass this idea on to anyone you know has an open mind and wants peace in the mideast our lifetime. Its not just the middle east people whose blood gets spilled, remember 911.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>John Kennedy once said: If peaceful revolution is impossible, violence is inevitable. If we don't create mideast peace, 911 was just a deposit on horror that is not yet due. </B></div> <bR> <div> <B>This is a picture of whole earth with just our man made light. In 2004 it still has much darkness because war holds back economic advancement. In other words, the group with the most cunning to organize government's brute force against its enemies gets to decide. The liberty method to resolve conflict is to allow free people to make their own decisions in markets free of "government knows best" nannies. In other words, the individuals with the greatest ability to organize their own happy, productive, life that's free from any government imposed slavery of following government directives serves mankind best, mostly from their not using force to impose their will on the lives of Gods other children. In the choice between more government control or more individual liberty, history has shown that more government and less liberty is ALWAYS THE WRONG ANSWER!!!! </B></div> <bR> <bR> </td> </tr></table></body>
