my letters
Do you have the guts to watch this video, can you handle the truth ?
This page is just a few of the hundred or so letters to the editors I have written over the years. Its always fun to later read subjects your had a strong opinion on and see if in hindsight, your were right on the money.

Dear Editor,
The teasers ads are already on TV.
American liberalism's number one numskull it ready to PR her liberal faithful with her biggest ego trip to date (knocking her Legends Ball out of 1st place).
The Oprah Winfrey leadership academy in South Africa, is her school to groom future leaders that will save Africa from its abyss. It's sad and pathetic that Oprah is so clueless about why Africa is poor (like most delusional "education is the most important thing" liberals) and has built a school with some fraction of 1% of her hundreds of millions of wealth.
Oprah honey, Milton Hershey gave ALL his massive wealth, except 5k for his mothers health care, to his school for war orphans. Thus your under 1% does not make you even the most generous school builder among fans of chocolate.
Yea, right a school for a few hundred will solve the problem of millions of Africans starving to death, dying of Aids, or getting butchered in Civil wars.
Thus, for Oprah and all liberals who are in denial about why, economically, Africa and poverty go together like Ben & Jerry, let me offer you this education from the Mike O'Brien School of Proven Economic Recipes for Prosperity.
1. Economic prosperity requires risk-taking by individuals who risk their own capital because they have private property rights. Nearly all Africans (except South Africans) have ZERO private property rights. No private farms=famine and starvation. Even liberals aren't dumb enough to NOT get that 1+1=2 economics 101.
2 Economic prosperity requires peace, law and order. People who drive economic progress are the first to depart when civil unrest or lawlessness occurs. Nearly all of Africa (again, except South Africa) is in a state of perennial tribal and civil war. No peace, no law, no order, even where private property rights do exist, can also lead to no food. Again, basic economics.
3. People who live in a country where they can vote usually don't die of starvation. Political freedom almost always leads to economic freedom, more food and the beginnings of prosperity. Almost nowhere in Africa (except South Africa...see the pattern yet?) have there ever been any elections. The vast majority of Africa is run by juntas, dictators, warlords, and central planned economies (just like the old soviet union) that are flawless recipes for failure.
Every year the index of economic freedom, an annual study that connects the dots between economic freedom and prosperity, gives most African countries a failing grade, and documents their very predictable result: Failure, starvation, and rampant HIV.
In all of Africa the fewest people per capita starve or die in tribal violence in the Africa's richest, largest economy: South Africa.
How moronic it is that Oprah's ego trip school is located in the richest African country that needs new freedom-thinking leadership the very least.
I am sure Oprah's heart is in the right place, but we all know to where the road of good intentions is paved.
Oprah honey, wake up and smell the coffee, girl. The world's Aid policy for Africa has for 50 years been a trillion dollar failure. The Oprah school is just more of the same liberal EGO trip that "every little bit helps." In fact such ego driven fantasy doesn't help when it diverts the world from a real solution.
The "every little bit helps" school of thought has a 50 year record of failure. Albert Einstein once said doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results is the definition of insanity.
Oprah honey, if you really give a rats ass about the people of Africa, get off your ASSets and use your celebrity to promote an agenda that brings Africa the freedom Rx for prosperity: private property rights, elections, and economic freedom.
I for one would rather see US troops in Africa tossing out murdering despots and installing democracy than wasting time in Iraq. For far less then what idiot Bush has already wasted in Iraq over oil there was never a need to secure, we could have liberated all of Africa's enslaved people with the greatest gift to humanity: democracy.
It would be good for America's soul to show humanity we will also sacrifice to save countries and bring democracy to nations with NO oil.
To do otherwise is just more huge liberal ego trip of "lets pretend a school for children and teachers will fix what is broken for impoverished adults now."
Oprah do you have the courage to handle the truth?
I doubt it, but if Dr Phil's plain old Texas straight talk can get her to occasionally deal with reality, I am prepared to be wrong in my view that liberal dingbats like Oprah will never admit they were wrong.
Carpe diem

Dear Editor,
Talk about sticker shock, the new federal budget Bush submits is 2.9 Trillion, and basically the Dem's lame PR cant hide they actually want to spend even more.
Just in case that's NOT insane enough for you the federal government disclosed today it has misplaced 363 million pounds of cash sent in packs of $100 bills on several shipping pallets to Iraq to pay post Saddam bills.
Iraq has 60 trillion of known oil reserves, why aren't they paying for everything to save their own country. Even Bush's father was savvy enough to get the Saudi's and Kuwait to pay for his Iraq war to save them. Daddy Bush please email your dummy son how to run a break even war.
You cant even call loosing 12 billion in cold hard cash retarded as that would really be totally unfair to actual retarded people to be compared to our federal government.
How convinent, could the lost billions have ended up, in Swiss accounts of federal politicians that got us into this mess. Maybe that's why they lied about what really happened on 911, and WMD's.
That's 12 billion reasons to lie if your keeping score at home.
Isn't it nice to know that Bushes drunken twin daughters and his drunk heirs in perpetuity might pay their bar tabs with a 1st Bank of Geneva visa debit card while you and your heirs pay unconstitutional taxes for interest on that "missing" 12 billion in US currency forever.
It took 205 years until 1981 for the nation debt to total 1 trillion and now just 25 years later Bush and the Feds want to spend nearly 3 times that every year going forward.
We are, as a country, thanks to all the math impaired morons in Washington DC speeding toward bankruptcy within just a few years. The dollar price of Gold, the best measure of our federal government financial insanity, has more than doubled since Bush was 1st elected and unleashed his fraudulent 911 war of terror.
Underlying financial instability has only once before in 200 years doubled the dollar price of gold during any US presidents term in office.
If ever there was a simple piece of math that shows how moronically math retarded Bush and the Dem's are its the Iraq war at 10 billion a month is equal to 1.50 a gallon gas tax.
Call me crazy, but I would rather take my chances that the greed of ALL middle east despots will always cause them to sell oil into world markets at fair prices.
If Katrina and Rita could not get gas over $3 a gallon for more than a month or two on what planet is it smart to spend the equivalent of $1.50 a gallon keeping the religious nut jobs of Iraq from killing each other.
Whoever in the end controls of Iraq, like Saddam, Qaddafi, Iran, Saudi, Kuwait, and every other greedy slimball Mideast regime, will sell the world oil at market prices because they have to, they need the money. After all they have ALL, (with the Saudis setting the example), spent the last 30 years using their oil money trying to welfare their own underclass into Ghetto fab laziness JUST LIKE AMERICA!!
Our government has made fraud a sport to get us here.
Don't be afraid to google "Jeff King WTC" and "911 truth" and see the many physics videos that prove their 911 fraud beyond any reasonable doubt. The Jack Nicholson movie line "you cant handle the truth" should never apply to any REAL patriotic American.
We are doomed as a nation if we don't have the courage to face the truth of the recent past
of federal government post 911 fraud. We owe the murdered of 911 better, we own them and their families the truth of how and why they died.

Dear Editor,
For what seems like the millionth time I have heard a story about somebody, with good intentions trying to "raise awareness" about a disease. Are there really millions of Americans unaware of the dread diseases that plague humanity who need contrived PR?
For a minute lets set aside the old axiom about what kind of intentions the road to hell is paved with and address a historical fact of most human nature. Over the past 3000 years of human history people rarely, if ever, serve human needs best unless they are motivated by capitalistic profit. The profit motive almost always delivers better results.
Last time I checked, awareness kills no germs, thwarts no viruses, rearranges no cells, and heals no bones. Awareness has just become a code word meaning to con the American people into the fraudulent belief that if more of the public's money is unconstitutionally turned over to government and non profit disease pimps more human suffering get cured.
The reality is that nearly all of the unbelievable advances in health care cures and treatments in the past 30 years have been produced by global for profit medical companies. Taxpayer and charitable money poured into alleged non-profit entities have produced poor results in relative comparison to for profit firms.
The trillions America has in decades poured into government and non-profit medical research sure has produced lots of overpaid folks in nice offices spending their days pimping the notion that all they need is more money to get better results.
Yet the notion that money in medical research not motivated by profit yields better results rarely if ever gets challenged in public, in spite of the fact its as blatantly fraudulent as Enron's accounting. Its often said the definition of insanity is trying the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
I propose that in the name of actual compassion for people who suffer and die waiting for new treatments and cures that we put for profit and non profit on a level playing field in raising money to cure disease.
Not for profit medical pimps get folks to "invest" tax deductible contributions and never pay tax on the cures, if any they produce.
What I propose is that people who invest in for profit firms that do medical research to create cures and treatments also get to tax deduct their contributions and profit from cures are also tax free.
The for profit global medical industry gives humanity far more bank for the buck, thus its insane to harm our own interest giving less result producing non-profit trillions of dollars in tax preference.
Does anybody really want to argue we would not have a cure for diseases like aids if we had made profit from its cure tax free.
Think of the billions in medical charitable giving that gets spend on slick PR begging for more money that's not spent on productive research. That massive kind of massive percentage of budged waste just does not occur in real for profit medical firms.
If we really care about results that alleviate human suffering from disease, and we are not willing to get rid of the blatant unconstitutional FDA approval process that makes every cure cost hundreds of millions of dollars, leveling the playing field of tax preference between profit and non profit medical research would be an act of sanity.
Unfortunate, the country is dumber than a bag of hammers on this subject and greatly prefers the feel good fraud that raising awareness and charitable money produces better results for humanity.
The reality is that only beneficiaries of our medical charitable bias are all the not for profit medical pimps and hustlers who will go today to nice offices and sit around all day conjuring new schemes to con the public out of more money to deliver less results.
Walkathons and wearing ribbons and other silliness to "raise awareness about disease" aren't the answer, they are the problem because they reinforce a Clintonesque like lie that fraudulent PR creates truth.
One plus one, still does not equal 3 !!!
Sincerely,
Michael "Woody" O'Brien ChFC

Dear Editor,
Its never a rare opportunity to see politicians commit fraud, play us for fools and lie thru their teeth. American politicians have a new front on their war against the truth.
Politicians finger pointing about whose to blame to surging gas prices has a huge disconnect from the math of one plus one.....still equals two.
So lets review the actual real world Math shall we?
The price of crude oil has risen from its recent February low near $60.75 to near $75 a 23% increase. People who have decades of experience trading oil and managing money for a living (people like me) almost universally agree most of crude oil's recent price increase is related to fear of Iran's nuke saber rattling, instability in Nigeria, and rants from the moronic Marxist lite president of Venezuela Hugo Chavez.
However, the wholesale price of gas (that's the price before states and the federal government screw us all by tacking on near .60 a gallon in taxes), has also risen from its February low near 1.56 a gallon to now 2.20 a gallon, a 41% increase, far greater than the 23% increase in the crude oil that gas is mostly made from.
So the math question is......why isn't gas up less than 23%??
Here is the correct math answer: last year in its annual ritual of kissing big farmers assets Washington politicians mandated a cheap gas additive called MBTE out of the nations unleaded gas mix, and ethanol made mostly from corn in.
That is, in plain old Texas talk, dumber than a bucket of rocks, they passed this mandate when drought has corn in less than ample supply.
The bottom line is that Washington politicians retarded ethanol mandate that was trying to divert an extra billion a year to farmers via higher corn is now costing American a billion a week at the pump. That's a 52 fold negative outcome for you math impaired government employees. I give apologies to any persons who are actually retarded, as I know its not fair to claim any politician has somehow risen to a retarded IQ level.
Is Washington so stupid they didn't not know the effect of mandating ethanol when BOTH corn and ethanol refinery capacity are in short supply, or did they know and just don't care, or did they even plan it all to manipulate us. All three possibilities are an abomination.
If only Trump could fire them all for loosing this gas task.
Without the ethanol mandate gas would still be under 2.50 a gallon, not breaking $3 and the budgets of low income American families.
Ironic, isn't it, given how all politicians never shut up about their fake concern for the lower and middle class income earners.
As if this self inflicted ethanol harm our moronic politicians voted into law isn't absurd enough, now having set the gas fire, they are lying about about the fireman trying to put out the same fire.
Politicians think "we the people" are so stupid, we will never see thru the truth of their ethanol flim flam, and buy into their lying spin that the oil companies fireman are somehow to blame. The same oil companies trying to keep gas stations supplied with short supply ethanol mix gas their mandate caused. DUH!!!!!!
Fact: gas prices at the pump could fall by 1.15 to 1.25 cents a gallon by tomorrow to near $1.75 a gallon if greedy politicians would suspend all gas taxes and allow MBTE back in the gas mix.
Wake up America, smell the gasoline, for once lets all of us be savvy, before you local station is ethanol shortage dry like Philadelphia or you are filling up at over $3 or even $4 a gallon call your congressman and demand they suspend all gas taxes and repeal the farm bribe ethanol mandate. Payback is a bitch, so demand they make do with less gas taxes as a reward for their ethanol bribe fraud.
Don't let them sell the lie that the answer to a problem they self inflicted is more class struggle fraudulent politics and a windfall tax so they can spend even more of what used to be our money on even more stupid schemes. Say it with me America: no deal !
Roll down your car window, honk you horn, and yell : I am fed up with politicians lying about gas, and I am not going to take it anymore!!!
The only good news I see is at least politicians aren't blaming Iran for high gas prices and trying to sell us a 2nd 500 billion dollar Mideast war to seize oil, just to give it back later to an unstable government.
Maybe this moronic stupidly is somehow the result of decades of doctors slapping newborn on their can to start them breathing and somehow 535 slippery future DC politicians babies slipped head first to the floor. After all they think they were born only to slap us...right?
Sincerely,
Mike O'Brien
PS: Oh Dutch..do we need you now..if your somehow still reading the Washington Post in heaven...I know you said you left your number by the phone when you left the White house in 89, but now that your gone, could you please take a moment from your heavenly day riding horses in someplace I am sure even looks like Wyoming (aka: heaven on earth) and whisper a clue in now President Bush's ear. I think your classic "government regulation causes shortage" mantra is just what our president and the country needs from the Gipper to help us win one.
4/15/06 RE: Walmart haters..........Kiss my Walmart ASSets
Dear Editor,
As I left my packed local Walmart superstore this Easter Sunday, having bought a delicious Smithfield sugar cured ham an obvious truth hit me as I put my shopping cart back in the rack near the exit door.
The truth that hit me like a ton of bricks was my Walmart's "greeter" at the stores entrance. He is a precious gift to everyone he greets, a young, mentally challenged adult, a sweet kid, as nice as you will ever meet. The kind of person who makes you really appreciate how good and easy a life you have by comparison.
His job as a greeter, welcoming people to the store and offering them a cart looks like an easy job until you imagine doing it for 8 hours a day. But there he is day in and day out probably never late or AWOL, so happy to have this job that gives his life the dignity of work.
I saw this kid and thought about my sister Bridget, whose mental handicap was so severe if she had lived past 18 she would have never enjoyed the dignity of work this wonderful happy young man has at Walmart.
It really got me thinking, about all the places I have traveled thru and several states I have lived in the past 46 years and every Walmart from Concord New Hampshire to Casper Wyoming I have ever shopped in.
Every one of those Walmarts, like every Walmart in American towns have without prejudice given jobs to disabled people, wounded veterans, women, minorities, people of every ethic background, every discriminated group, immigrants from every oppressed nation, and people of every lifestyle preference.
Walmart asks these folks for just one think in exchange for a job on the first rung of the employment latter, that they work hard and appreciate the opportunity to start to climb the American dream from that bottom rung up.
I tried to remember if even one Walmart employee I ever came across was cranky or mean spirited or anything other than hardworking and polite and could not recall even one bad sort ever. I cant think of any other retail chain I can say that about.
Walmart has over 1.8 million full time employees. Just think about that number for a second, 1.8 million people, as many people as live in the entire state of West Virginia or Nebraska with a job and opportunity to learn the value of hard work.
I've never employed 18 people, so 1.8 million employed by the little discount store Sam Walton started in Bentonville AK when he had the good luck to return alive from the 2nd world war, deserves and has my respect.
How many job opportunities have those who hate Walmart created. How many disabled people have they given the dignity of work to? How many million employees are covered by the Walmart haters health insurance plan.
Walmart promotes from within, so some who start as part timers end up as top executives and others move up to managers and a nice middle class life, while most take the work hard ethic of their Walmart opportunity on to success elsewhere in the American economy.
Walmart in short, employees more people of all abilities and all background's then any company in the US history. Walmart's created more economic growth and jobs for its suppliers in EVERY COUNTRY and made more of its own ordinary employees millionaires with its stock than...you guessed it any other firm in US history.
By the way, those foreign workers who make some of what Walmart sells are Gods children too, and have the same inalienable human right to compete for work we Americans demand.
Walmart stock is in almost every stock mutual fund, college endowment funds, 401k plan and pension plan, its profits make almost every American richer in someway without regard to if they understand how they actually benefit. The Billions...(yes that's billions with a B folks) in Property, income, social security, and other tax payments Walmart pays in cash money, builds schools, pays for teachers, pays for US soldiers to fight terrorism, buy drugs and medical care for seniors, food stamps and housing for poor people and every other government service. Walmart critics sure don't pay billions or millions in taxes to support the nations needs. However, that is only because jealous whining about the success of Walmart is not taxed.
I manage investment portfolios for a living, its nearly investment malpractice for any substantial portfolio not to own some Walmart stock because its one of the most efficient, large growth, important tax paying global drivers of economic growth on our little third rock from the sun.
People who shop at Walmart and its Sam's club warehouse stores, people like my wife and I LOVE Walmart & Sam's club, because the everyday low prices Walmart's awesome efficiencies deliver mean we can give our families a better life. A Walmart close by even saves us money on gas.
If you say Walmart is a cutthroat competitor, I say DUH, retail is now, has always been, and always will be like NHL hockey, full contact, your quick or your crushed like a bug capitalism. If you don't like that unchangeable reality don't watch NHL hockey and don't cry about Walmart efficiency beating the pants off its competition.
I have never worked at Walmart but I am a Walmart shopper for life, and with my clients I AM A PROUD Walmart shareholder.
There is no stock OF ANY COMPANY IN THE WORLD I am more proud say I own, in no small part because of Walmarts employment of disabled veterans and challenged adults like my local Walmart greeter.
Thus, I have something very specific to say to every Walmart hater. How dare you!!!
How dare you defame this wonderful company calling them greedy. Greedy companies don't help the disabled have dignity, create opportunity to everyone, they don't help veterans, they don't provide for their employees serving in Iraq and Afghanistan like walmart does. Greedy companies don't pay billions in taxes to support America.
Do me a favor all you Walmart haters, until you employ as many of the disabled and veterans, until you give opportunity to 1.8 million people, provide more health insurance, pay more taxes, until you create more wealth for every American, and more millionaires than Walmart, stop making total fools of yourself trashing Walmart to a nation whose every full Walmart parking lot proves that your dead wrong about our Walmart.
If you build and do all of the above as well as honorable war veteran and American retail genius Sam Walton and his wonderful Walmart associates have while every jealous "bad at math" fool in America calls you nasty names, then and only then will you have the credibility to throw stones from your glass house at Walmart.
If you cant manage the integrity to do that, please just kiss my Walmart ASSets instead!

Dear Editor,
Although I am fortunate to no longer be a resident of the corrupt Commonwealth of PA, I was shocked to find in a recent trip into the state that many state and local government offices, (inc. Pendot) do not accecpt cash to pay fees.
When I asked a PA government clerk how that could be given the "legal tender for all public debts" mantra printed on US currency. The clerk told me that when government offices accecpt cash, it has a tendency to disappear, so they decided to force people to write checks or endure the inconvience of money orders to prevent the theft of cash by government employees.
The federal US currency and coin the Coinage Act of 1965, specifically Section 31 U.S.C. 5103, entitled "Legal tender," which CLEARLY states: "United States coins and currency (including Federal reserve notes and circulating notes of Federal reserve banks and national banks) are legal tender for all debts, public charges, taxes, and dues".
I guess PA government thinks its easier to ignore federal law and demand checks or money orders that if mishandled could lead to the ID theft of the payer then to investigate, prosecute and terminate public employees who steal cash from the till of collected fees.
Can you imagine the outrage of PA politicians if Walmart had the same policy? The PA legislature would demand Walmart not inconvenience the poor with demand of checks or money orders, as the right to do that belongs only to them.
Some may think this is a small issue and they are in part correct. However, this practice of refusing cash payment blatantly shows that public employees and PA government consider themselves to be empowered to ignore any law whenever it suits them because they view themselves as above the law.
Pa government has a very bad track record of refusing to follow its own law, federal law, the rulings of the US supreme court or the US Constitution in very serious matters like grandparent kidnapping, property rights, privacy rights, free speech, due process of law, discrimination against the self employed, forced unionization, and hundreds of other areas.
Given the true lawless and corrupt nature of most PA government, and all the big laws, and constitutional rights it ignores I guess it should be no surprise to me that they would be as blatant in their lawbreaking on small stuff like refusing cash for government fees.
I only wish every PA citizen knew what I now know, that although all US states have cells of government employees (as dangerous to freedom as Al Kieda cells) who ignore the law and flush their oath of office like its written on toilet paper, Pennsylvania is one of the very worst.
Congratulations Pennsylvania, you have achieved a new low...refusing cash for fees and fines to protect your dishonest bureaucrats from their urge to steal.
You have given me reason #891 why I am glad I will NEVER be a PA resident again.
Sincerely,
Michael "Woody" O'Brien ChFC
How many more coal miners will environmentalist and government kill?
Date:1/28/2006 10:51:33 AM Eastern Standard Time
From: unameitltd@yahoo.com (Michael "Woody" O'Brien ChFC)
To:
Dear Editor,
There has never been a time in American history where the efficient production of coal has played a more important part of America's energy security.
For decades strip mining was the best, cheapest, and most efficient way to get coal to market. Tragically, a few bad coal companies years ago failing to reclaim strip mined land brought on a huge volume of clearly unconstitutional government rules that illegally took landowners property rights for public environmental goals.
The effect for decades of this illegal taking of property rights is that strip mining of coal has greatly declined and more dangerous and expensive shaft mining of coal has increased.
The net result is dead coal miners, because the environmental movement and government conspired to unconstitutionally take property rights to mine in the safest and most efficient way.
Setting the constitutional rights of the land owner aside, In a country as HUGE and empty as MOST of rural America is, I for one would rather see more ugly strip mines, than tragic coal miner funerals. People are MORE important than things!!
The clueless West Virginia governor and legislature are now passing new government mandates trying to make dangerous shaft mining somehow safer. If pols cares about miners safety they would restore land rights to strip mine and make dangerous shaft mining obsolete.
When will we ever learn that when elected officials violate their constitutional oath, people die in unintended consequences. Unconstitutional laws never solve more problems than they cause.

Subject: The new guaranteed to fail celebrity plan to save Africa
To:
Dear Editor,
Its long been said the definition of insanity is trying the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Once again know it all famous musicians and celebrities are lining up again selling a new slant on the same 50 year old failed policy for Africa: pumping billions into government to government aid for Africa much of which end up wasted or in Swiss bank accounts of African despots.
Besides Africa can you name any content in the world that living standards are lower now than they were 50 years ago.
Thousands in Africa die everyday of war, starvation and aids while famous numb skulls like Oprah preach how education is Africa's was out of its abyss. Only if Oprah book club books are bullet proof, edible and install sexual restraint can she be right.
Dying Africans deserve something better than more of the failed US African policy of the last 50 years. We need a new sragity that will work.
Far to much of Africa is engulfed in violent civil war, tribal war and dictatorship that creates starving refugees by the millions. Its just about impossible to have a prosperous life in a war zone.
It needs to be the policy of the United states to do what Kennedy said: defend any friend, and oppose any foe of democracy. What that means boys and girls if that we need to declare war on any African country who subject Africans to genocidal civil war. If we overthrew Iraq by force for oil we can surely do the same with minimal losses against any backward African nation that dare kill and starve Africans for sport. In fact I have no doubt the first US overthrow of an African nation would scare many others into dramatic reform once they know we aren't bluffing.
We need to install capitalist democracy in overthrown African countries just like we are trying to do in Iraq. Democracies that protect private property and foster capitalism epically in farming.
People rarely starve in capitalist nations that have elections and private farms, but they do in most of Africa where voting booths and private farms are as rare as ice hockey.
As far as aids in Africa, I wish I had a good idea to share. I just know that the numbers show "aids education' in Africa is a big a failure as our other African policies.
America needs to spend our military might to save Africa from its despotic governments that kill and starve Africans.
Are Americans ready to watch white, black and Hispanic US solders take minimal casualties to save Africa from its abyss? I believe we are. Think of the uniting of America under a policy that says to African despots: Kill and starve people and be overthrown. I think even left wing peace nicks and Oprah may eventually support military action to stop African genocides.
Be assured there are a handful of Swiss bankers who hope our 50 year policy of moronic stupidly wont change and they can get richer watching bigger and bigger piles of stolen US government to government aid.
Sincerely

Subject:political debates
To:
Dear Editor,
Politicians in BOTH parties lie as a part of their standard stock and
trade. Lying and lawlessness is now so pervasive in our courts and
governments, political honesty is now the rare exception to the rule of
dishonesty.
Trying to get candidates for office to tell the truth on simple direct
questions is like trying to get a drug addict to get clean.
Movies and TV reality shows now use polygraph lie detectors for dramatic
effect and to see if participants are telling the truth regarding their
intentions.
Of course the lie detector is not 100% reliable, however as a voter, its
a tool a wish we all had to help decide not who is telling the truth, but
who is lying less.
Thus, I propose lets junk all political debates where candidates spew
talking points written by their hired political BS con artists and replace
them with a format the helps voters see who lies less.
Just the candidate, hooked up to a lie detector, answering direct yes or
no questions from the random person on the street, not special interest
pimps or reporters.
Now that would be a debate I would love to see Kerry, bush, Cheney and
Edwards and every Pa politician (epically judges) running for office sit
thru.

Subject:att sam booher re your editorial
about refinery capasity shortage
To: @sierraclub.org
Dear Sam,
Just read your article online from a few years back
regarding the shortage of US refining capacity of crude
oil into gas and other products.
Clearly your fear was in hindsight right on the money
and the refining capacity shortage chicken has come home
to roost with $2 a gallon gas prices.
However, as an experienced investor in the energy area
the idea that refiners don't want to invest and build
new refineries is just totally absurd.
Refineries would love to build new refineries, and there
are oceans of capital market money available to build
them.
America hasn't build a new oil refinery for 2 simple
reasons unconstitutional zoning and N.I.M.B.Y (not in my
back yard) voters.
Zoning and land use restrictions that so hamper a
landowners right to use property as he sees fit amounts
to a public taking of the property rights of the owner
without required compensation. In Lucas v. South
Carolina Coastal Council the supreme court affirmed this
4th amendment requirement over 10 years ago.
Yet despite harsh land use and zoning being declared
unconstitutional in Lucas v. South Carolina Coastal
Council, local governments (egged on by NIMBY neighbors
who have no legal right to interfere in others land
rights, but do vote) ignore the Supreme courts ruling
everyday prevent the building of all kinds of things
that economic demand requires from new Wal Marts to oil
refineries.
Sam, we have found the enemy and it is us.
As long as Americans and their politicians pretend Lucas
v. South Carolina Coastal Council didn't happen and the
constitutional right to developer land property is
different than say vintage baseball card property, no
new refineries will be build and gas prices will keep
going higher.
Refiners are not the cause of the refining capacity
shortage, they are the solution if we follow the
constitution and let them build.
I just hope gas isn't $4 a gallon before we realize the

December 2003 on Saddam Hussain's capture
(read in Dr Seuss voice)
Dear Editor,
We finally got that S.O.B
and you will never guess where he might be.
He was not hiding in a tree
He was not walking around free
He was not on any shooting sprees
He was not praying to Alah on his knees
He was not, could not, move around
because he knew he would be found
by brave US solders on the ground.
This tyrant and killer of so many,
who treated life like it was not worth a penny.
This rodent of humanity with no real soul,
was found like a cockroach hiding in a hole.
Though armed with guns to defend,
he surrendered like the coward he is in the end.
I wonder about the brave solider who made this find,
and at that moment what went thru his mind.
Should I waste this fascist pig,
or take him to our airport brig.
He did his job and made the right call,
as hard as it was, he stood tall.
Today is a great day for America, and for Iraq
to have this Hitler finally off our back.
Humanity has a major win
against this evil pig and his sin.
But the surprise news for Sadam is that we wont be ill
and wont mistreat this maggot still.
Lucky Sadam now gets to wait
for a jury to decide his life fate.
Until that day when justice comes, he will be treated ok
no vengeful mob will come and take him away.
In fact the only thing this killer might now fear down on his luck
is prison food can really suck.
But at last even that too for him has a cure
its the death penalty he will get for sure.
So see ya Sadam, you will be dead soon for all to tell
Enjoy eternity maggot, as you rot in hell.
Just one last thought before I am done with this vex
Osama bin Laden, I hope we get your sick ass next.
boo yaaaa

Social security is not a govt. program. Social security is a government
Trust fund !!!
Even the people in charge of social security are referred to by law as trustees.
The trustee of any trust fund is supposed to make decisions only on behalf of the beneficiaries.
That is the problem with social security, the trustees every week allow the federal govt. to steal the surplus and give the trust fund worthless no interest IOU's in the political interest of Washington pols who use money they steal from the trust fund on more govt.spending masking the real size of deficits.
If we privatized the trustees of the the fund everybody's money would be free from the grasp of politicians stealing everybody's retirement trust fund.

Dear Editor,
Americas mainstream media glorify the aging generation that fought world war two as "the greatest American generation".
To this claim I say what a pile of self-serving bunk. The facts show the only thing the world war two generation were really good at was reducing the individual freedom of future American generations.
So much of their claim of entitlement to feast at the trough of the worlds largest and most corrupt middle class welfare state is based of their saving the world from the axis powers.
Military service is a potential obligation of all citizens and when service is given a citizens obligation to its country is even and no legal or constitutional entitlement to free government stuff ever exists.
Unlike the war generations before or after them the WW2 generation demands unconstitutional payments for military services rendered via the corrupt liberal welfare state they build in total violation of the US constitution most disingenuously still claim allegiance to.
The big government welfare state the ww2 generation built blatently violates the US constitutions limits of authority under article 1 section 8 or the 10th amendment and now unconstitutionally regulates everything from applesauce to zebra farms chewing up the individual freedom.
Aside from their allegiance to illegal government programs the WW2 generations financial rape of the young is morally reprehensible.
Its immoral for a WW2 generation members who saved their whole life for a rainy day (most building substantial wealth) to use their political clout to get government extortion of financial umbrellas from low and no wealth young to keep their wealth virtually untouched by health perils that their generally unhealthy livestyles caused.
The simple answer is that its ALWAYS WRONG to tax those with no substantial assets to pay for the wants of those with greater assets who just want somebody else to pay.
Everyday the 2 largest socialist programs serving this older alleged greatest American generation consume nearly 2 billion dollars in taxpayers money.
To give you an idea of just how expensive 2 billion dollars a day is, its 100% of the wages (@30k a year) of 25 million younger workers.
Think about 25 million younger people headed to work just to pay the bills WW2'ers prefer not to pay and unconstitutionally pass to them.
I'm sure WW2'ers justify the scarifies of the young by saying we can afford it or they also paid very small amounts into the fradulent generational ponzi schemes.
However, they just cant justify away Americas loss of freedom and governments unconstitutional intrusions into nearly everything.
Its ironic that the defenders of freedom against Hitler are the first American generation to fail to pass the torch of freedom from unconstitutional government intrusion to future generations.
The world war 2 generations claim to greatness only sells to those who are very bad at math.
Sincerely,
Michael O'Brien

Dear Editor,
Finally, President Clinton admitted today that he is a Liar and that "he misled the American people and he had an "inappropriate" relationship with Lewinsky". Thank you president Clinton, for forcing me to have to answer my 11 year old son Sean's question: "what is oral sex".
If Bill Clinton was not the President his perverted sexual compulsions would not be a cause for great public concern.
But unfortunately not having the integrity to resign, Bill Clinton is still the president and his clear sexual addiction and the resulting need to lie about, keeping his whore on the public payroll is a problem because it is taking attention away from vital dangerous problems.
Every hour Clinton spends on his sex addiction and forces the country to wade thru his cover-up of same is an hour the president, the US government, and the country is not focused on the number one danger facing the America: more Islamic terrorist attacks on our soil
While Nero fiddled Rome burned, and while Clinton puts the country thru a sick debate about what is or isn't oral sex or a lie about oral sex, Islamic terrorists who just a few years back nearly blew up the world trade center are surely planning new attacks on America.
How many Americans need to die, hundreds, thousands, or millions before we wake up and understand the Islamic terrorists have declared Jihad (holy war) against America. Don't forget the NYC blind Egyptian cleric who quarterbacked the "Jihadist nutjobs" who bombed of the world trade center in 1993 bragged that his cell was just the first ready to punish America.
I pray I am wrong, but I fear we will rue the day we took our eye off the ball of focusing on the high risk of more Islamic terrorism on American soil, because Bill Clinton is a dishonorable dirty old man and a sexual predator.
Sincerely
Michael O'Brien
