House of Nova

House Nova is best known as the oringal royal house of the Kingdom of Aquilaene. Under the rulership of Ullarasis the First, the lands of Aquilaene were formed into houses and swore fealty to the great king. Previous to Ullarasis the First the houses of Stanton, Stoneshoulder, Drake, DiVanni, and Sepulchrave had operated as singular nations. Through much negotiation and because of fear of Viking attack, Ullarasis was able to persuade each houses' fealty and form what is now The Kingdom of Aquilaene. He died after many years on the throne, leaving behind two daughter and an oray of bastards. The offspring of one, however, would someday save his kingdom.
Queen Supernova, eldest daughter of Ullarasis the First was the first actual ruling monarch of the game of URC and the Kingdom of Aquilaene. It was under her rule that the island of Bellanova was first discovered. Queen Supernova was the first ruling female monarch of the Kingdom of Aquilaene. It was upon Supernova's death that Ione Sepulchrave took her place as regent.
Ullselena Nova had been raised on the island of Ullmoor, sister to the famed Ullric Nova, captain of the kingdom's ships and a great warrior for Queen Supernova. With a push by the remaining Novas and other loyal nobles, Ullselena arrived in the capital of Aquilae by ship to claim back her family's throne. In many ways her return was successful in that she did indeed gain the throne, unstable as it may have been. Queen Ullselena Nova fled Aquilaene, the remainder of her ships later found broken and abandoned at sea.
The remaining noble houses pushed forward the minor Novan relative known simply as the 'Greywood King'. After only a few months of rulership in the capital of Aquilae, the Greywood King was overthrown by Novan loyalists who had been gathering quietly in Balthasar with Katherine Nova and other influential leaders. Wyndor was stormed and over-taken quickly because of the lack of any sort of royal guard. Within days, the seven year old Ullysses Nova was crowned in the throne room at Wyndor, his mother named Regent.
King Ullysses ruled the Kingdom of Aquilaene with much power and prestige, spending nearly fifty years on the throne. He had been the child raised in Wyndor with no real sort of royal upbringing. His father, Prince Ullnik, had been mysteriously slain and the child with royal blood had been left to the devices of his mother, Katherine Nova. Katherine proved more than a sufficient regent despite her humble upbringing on the island of Ullmoor.
During his time the royal house of Nova rebounded. Ullysses had the benefit of living in the capital of Aquilaene all his life. He had had the chance to travel as well and meet his people, survey the port cities, and fully experience all that was Aquilaene. It made him a much more sound ruler who was able to look beyond Wyndor and the throne that sat there. When, after many years of ruling, Ullysses passed; his son Ullarasis III took the throne of Aquilaene.
Ullarasis III watched from Aquilae as the Kingdom of Moritani came tumbling down and both Moritani itself and DiVanni were returned to Aquilaene power. Ullarasis III's produced only one daughter and during a move to secure the kingdom's safety, he married Ullsana to the reigning Duke of Correlan (which had been built from the joining of Fortersque and Durham). Not only was Aquilaene more powerful on the inside once Ullsana had married the Correlan Duke, but the kingdom's capital now switched to Correlan and the city of Asai and Correlan was the ruling house.
Ullarasis' brother, Robert Nova gladly took control of what was the Duchy Nova and pledged undying loyalty to his neice's new dynasty. House Nova now had blood in three major houses of Aquilaene. House Doren had sprung from the sister of Ullarasis I, House Correlan had come from the daughter of Ullarasis I, and the current House Nova, which had come from the great king himself.
Unitl recently House Nova had been led by Duke Avery Nova. The Duke was an unbalanced sort and upon his mysterious death his sister Corle Nova Correlan refused to lead the duchy. Ureanne Nova, who had been born on the birthday of Queen Supernova and was said to share her ability to lead was called upon by her family and accepted the position, taking all of Nova as her prize.
Capital of House Nova: Aquilae - This city rich in kingdom history was once the very center of the Kingdom of Aquilaene. It is home to Wyndor Castle, a royal home that the king still visits on occastion.
